Last updated: 27 July 2026
1. Introduction
Patch Learning ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you use our platform, and the rights you have over your data.
We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and, for our global customers, with the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws where applicable.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email, organisation, role and profile details.
- Usage data: time-tracking entries, activity logs and platform interactions.
- Business content: employee records, financial documents, client details and images you upload.
- Payment data: billing details handled by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.
- Technical data: device, browser and approximate location derived from IP address.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate and improve the platform and its modules;
- To process payments and manage subscriptions;
- To generate AI-powered insights and reports from data you provide;
- To communicate with you about your account, security and product updates;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We process personal information on the legal bases of contract performance, legitimate interests, consent (where given) and compliance with law. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
4. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Service providers (hosting, payments, analytics, AI models) under contracts requiring confidentiality;
- Authorities where required by law or to protect our rights and safety;
- A successor in the event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale.
5. International Data Transfers
Because we serve a global customer base, your information may be processed outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections under applicable law.
6. Data Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards (including encryption in transit and row-level access controls) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data consistent with industry practice.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to:
- Access and receive a copy of your personal information;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Delete your personal information (the "right to be forgotten" under GDPR);
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Withdraw consent and receive your data in a portable format.
To exercise these rights, email the contact below. We respond within 30 days, or as required by your local law.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and analyse platform usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may limit platform functionality.
10. Children's Privacy
The platform is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes & Contact
